There is no place like home! To me, Pompe the TravellerDog, the Swedish forest is home. I know the smells here very well, and the animals, the plants, the trees and the mushrooms.

The best thing about the Swedish (and Scandinavian) forests, in my view, is that there is nothing in them to worry about. There are no evil plants like Poison Ivy and no dangerous animals like poisonous snakes or pooch-eating tigers. Also, anyone can pick mushrooms in the Swedish forests, but there are some limitations.
But the very best thing about the Swedish forests is the dirt. It smells so interesting and I can spend all day digging holes in the Swedish soil!

If you want to read more about traveling in Sweden with a dog, mama has collected a bunch of information on the page Plan a Trip – Sweden. For example, you will learn whether dogs are allowed on public transport and what to expect when it comes to finding accommodation that accepts dogs.
