[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Someone’s got to do the hard work of touring Malta by boat. Seems like that someone is me, Pompe, and my owner Chris.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”992″ img_size=”full” css=”.vc_custom_1516543541254{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”883″ img_size=”full” css=”.vc_custom_1516543408809{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_column_text]The tourist boat took us from the calm port onto the ocean surrounding Malta. From there we couldn’t see any land except Malta, just big deep-blue waves and the sky.
As my owner Chris fretted about applying sun-screen before it was too late, a guide pointed out the highest building on Malta, the most expensive hotel on Malta, the biggest casino etc. But I couldn’t care less.
I was more interested in the frizzing salt water behind the boat, the refreshing feeling of the sea-breeze running through my fur and smelling all the interesting smells of the ocean.
Mama loves being on the water so much that she took me on a second boat tour in Malta, you can read about it in the post TravellerDog Takes Another Malta Boat-Tour.

Hi Chris, thanks for this great article! I feel like travelling to Malta with my dog also. Are there any special entry requirements for dogs to Malta? And would you recommend Malta all year round for traveling with a dog?
Nope, no special requirements as far as I (Pompe) and my mama know of, just normal EU passport and vaccination.
Some dogs (and people) think Malta is a bit cold in the winter as the average temperature is about 13-14 degrees and feels a bit colder than that due to the humidity in the air. It’s too cold to swim then. Some tourist activities, such as taking a sea kayak tour, is not available during winter. But I like winter in Malta! Less tourists and certainly warmer than places like the Alps or Sweden.
Hey Pompe, love your new page!
So when are you and your mom coming to Chamonix again?
How boring life would be without a fun dog. Fullfills your life and is probably better than the gym since you get all those walks in the nature with your best friend who never even complains. Hey, I even have more fun now than when I used to be married…
Love the pictures! They inspire me to bring my own dog to Spain. Thanks for many good advices about travelling with a dog!
