[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Valletta, the capital of Malta is so very beautiful! Huge medieval walls surround the city that is situated on a narrow but high peninsula from which you have a good look of much of the Mediterranean Sea.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I could have spent days sniffing around every street and alley of Valletta. Like everywhere in Malta, cats are common and beloved pets, so there is interesting cat-scent everywhere.
However, there is also a lot of other things to see and sniff. Both the Lower and Upper Barrakka Gardens are pretty little parks with stunning views of the harbor and towns across the bay.
Mama said St. John’s Cathedral is beautiful (dogs are not allowed in there), and we both enjoyed walking along the waterfront, between the Sea and the large walls surrounding the town. The walk is very rugged at parts, but one can pass as so to loop the entire peninsula of Valletta.
I also liked going into the big spooky trench that was filled with water at one time, protecting the town from predators. In the video you can see me have fun down there.
