[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I will be honest, Stockholm is not my (Pompe’s) favorite place on planet earth. It’s beautiful and all that, but it’s not very dog friendly. I’m often considered some kind of allergy-provoking beast that makes the poor people of Sweden sicker than sick as soon as they see me.
Of course, as the Traveller Dog touring the globe with my mama, I know this is pure bull s**t. In the dog-friendly countries of the world I don’t leave herds of sick people behind me wherever I go.
For example, in France where dogs are welcome everywhere including in upscale restaurants and bars, no one seems to be bothered by me, and certainly no people run out the door with allergies. Mama is allergic to dogs herself and says that dog allergy is not as severe as peanut allergy, yet peanuts are served in every airplane.

The city has a few oasis’ where dogs are not only welcome, but also treated with great love and offered all kinds of treats.
For instance, my favorite bar in Stockholm is Folk & Friends on Kungsholmen. The owners are super chilled and friendly, the kind of people who make everyone feel welcome whether they are wearing sweats or trench coats.
All dogs are welcome in this bar, and their own dog, Fluffy, is usually there to welcome guests as well. Us dogs usually play with each other and sniff each other’s behinds while the humans enjoy some of the impressive selection of local beers.
As you can see in this video, they also have cats at Folk & Friends! Strange looking cats…
Mama says that the owners are about to open an even larger Folk & Friends bar near Hornstull on Södermalm in Stockholm. I can’t wait to check it out!
